Liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method for the determination of tranexamic acid in human plasma

A new method for the determination of tranexamic acid (TA) in human plasma using high
performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometric detection was
described. TA and the internal standard, methyldopa, was extracted from a 200μl plasma
sample by a one-step deproteination using perchloric acid. Chromatographic separation
was performed on an Xtrra™ MS C18 Column (2.1 mm× 100 mm, 3.5 μm) with the mobile
